DRAFT wording for review by Alternative Finance Network’s counsel. [CONFIRM WITH SCOTT]
We are a broker, not a lender
Alternative Finance Network is a commercial loan broker, not a lender. We work with a network of third-party lenders. All financing is subject to lender approval and terms.
Restaurant Finance Network is a division of Alternative Finance Network. We help businesses understand their financing options and connect them with banks, credit unions, private lenders and other funding providers. We do not make loans, issue advances or make credit decisions.
What this means for you
- No guarantee of approval. Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will receive an offer. Lenders make all approval decisions based on their own criteria.
- Terms come from lenders. Rates, fees, factor rates, payment schedules, collateral requirements and other terms are set by each lender. We do not publish rates because they vary by lender and by business.
- Not an offer to lend. Nothing on this website is an offer or commitment to lend. Information is general and may not apply to your situation.
- Commercial purposes only. We arrange financing for business purposes only, not personal, family or household purposes.
- Some products are not loans. Merchant cash advances and some revenue-based products are purchases of future receivables rather than loans, and they are regulated differently. We explain the difference before you accept one.
How brokers are paid
Brokers are typically compensated by the lender, by a fee paid by the borrower, or both. Any fee you would pay will be disclosed to you in writing before you accept an offer. For SBA loans, compensation paid to a broker or agent must be disclosed on SBA Form 159 (Fee Disclosure and Compensation Agreement). Sharing your information with lenders
To find financing, we share the information and documents you provide with lenders and funding partners being considered for your request. Lenders may contact you directly and may review your credit under their own processes, with your authorization. See our privacy policy.
Licensing and regulation
[CONFIRM WITH SCOTT: any state licenses or registrations held, and counsel’s review of Colorado and Tennessee requirements. Some states regulate commercial financing brokers or require specific disclosures; requirements change and may apply depending on where the business and lender are located.]
